Expressions of Interest sought
After many years in the custodianship of the WBA, we are now looking for someone to take on the role of caring for our Bondwood Sailing Dinghy. Originally thought to be a Port Phillip 12, recent discussions have suggested that this boat might in fact have been a prototype for the class, rather than a production model.
Some work has been carried out by our members, to help preserve the boat, but it is now time for somebody else to complete the task, and get this boat back on the water. The boat comes with an aluminium mast, a selection of sails and rigging, along with a trolley. There is no trailer for the boat.
The boat is to be advertised elsewhere, but it was felt that WBA members should have the opportunity to secure this unique boat.

Free to a good home - 2 "Cockleshell" kayaks
These simple kayaks for protected waters were built with our kids as their practical introduction to stitch and glue construction techniques (yes, they chose the colours as well). Alan Chinn provided the plans, from his vast collection. From memory they appeared in an American boat building magazine some time in the early 1980’s. We’ve used them on rivers and lakes, and along the coast of Port Phillip. They are better suited to adults than kids, as they do catch the wind, and are easier to manage if the occupant is a bit heavier.
Length: 29500mm. Beam: 750mm.
The paddles are included.
