July and our Annual General Meeting are coming up. Please put the date 22 July in your diary. It is important that the meeting be well supported both for the future of the Association and to show appreciation to the committee members who have seen to the activities and running of the association over the past year. The new committee will be elected at the meeting. At present we have three committee members standing down from their positions and there is a vacancy for secretary and librarian as a result. Nomination forms are included with this copy of Shavings.

The present committee would like to invite our female members to consider serving on the committee as we feel that they can help us in meeting the expectations of the membership through future activities and club events. On AGM day, we ask that members bring a contribution for lunch. Given that it appears winter has set in, we hope to have a hot lunch that will stick to the ribs. To that end we ask that members bring a casserole, potatoes etc or sweets for the table.
